Home again, Home again...Days 88, 89 and 90 of 365

Spring is here and the days are just flying by. Since we've been home from our trip to northern California that weather in Tennessee has been amazing and we've spent most of our time outside.  It's been wonderful but we are exhausted by the end of the day. I need to find another time to do my blog posts, or just do them outside.

While we were in California there was some excitement in our part of Tennessee. There was a "wind advisory" and "tornado strength winds." About 30 trees were knocked down or torn up by their roots on our property alone. Luckily nothing landed on the house and while the roof was damaged, we do still have one... unlike some very unfortunate people and building in the neighboring towns.

If this was not an actual tornado I don't think I ever want to be in an actual one. I'm kind of glad we missed this really. We walked around the property and looked at all the trees that were down. It was amazing and kind of scary.

In other news...

The neighbor's cow came over to visit.

Baby Girl and I sat out in the field with the goats all day...

We spent all day Saturday at Lowe's and Baby Girl loved the flowers and garden section the most.

On Sunday driving home from church with our windows down we caught the smell of fried chicken.  So we went home and William made the most amazing Gluten Free fried chicken with corn on the cob. We ate outside and Baby Girl loved the chicken and at the corn off the cob.

And we had a "Mommy and Me Matching day". We wore our matching Chinese village shirts.  When I bought these in Yang Shuo, China Baby Girl's was way too big for her. Now I'm going to have to make some alterations to make it fit longer.
Spring in Tennessee so far has been wonderful so far. We sit on the front porch in the morning drinking coffee, we watch the baby chase the dog as the sun goes down in the evening while drinking decaf sweet tea, and today we are waiting through another "wind advisory." Hopefully we don't lose any more trees in this one.
