Happy Birthday my little Bonita Rose

I can't believe my little baby is 2 years old today. She has gotten so big, so fast. It wasn't very long ago that she was still crawling and was all chubby. Now she's such a little person!

We had a really fun day today doing all the things Rosie wanted to do and eating cake and opening presents. I'll post more about that tomorrow. But for today here is a silly little video of Rosie talking and dancing for the camera. She thinks it's funny to make faces at and dance for the laptop camera (thank you MacBook).

Video my Life

Today I followed Bonnie Rose around with the video camera and tried to capture her doing all sorts of adorable things.

Here's a video of Rosie playing the drums for the baby goats, Daisy and Danny. I'm trying to teach her not to push the goats, but she thinks she IS a goat so she likes to push them off whatever they are standing on. It's a goat thing.

I thought this was cute so I'm putting it up here. You don't have to watch it if you're not interested. It's Bella nursing her babies. I just love the little sounds Daisy makes when she's nursing.

After lunch we had dance time.  This was the first time Rosie has danced with one of her bears. This bear was given to her on her first birthday by the waiter at The Teddy Bear Cafe in TaiKang Lu, Shanghai China.  

You can hear Rosie say "more" when the song ends and then "dance" to her bear.

Growing big and strong 130/365

Remember those baby goats that were born back in February? Well they are growing so big so fast!

Baby Girl is growing and learning so fast. I can hardly believe it's been just a few months that she's been walking. Now she RUNS everywhere and is talking. Here's a little video of her talking to the goats (it starts with her baaing at them) and telling me what the other animals say.

The Most Random Blog Post Ever 77/365

Sometimes at the end of the day I feel like nothing interesting or exciting happened. I usually complain that "I have nothing to say or post on my blog." Then I look at the pictures on my camera or walk through the house on the way to bed and see the remnants of a fun with my Baby Girl.

Yesterday was one of those days.

We girls had a dance party. Baby has very eclectic taste in music. We find out yesterday that she likes AC/DC

Right before bed Bonnie Rose got a bath and her hair was so beautiful.  I kept trying to get a good picture of her curls but I just couldn't capture just how beautiful her hair is. You'll have to take my word for it.

Baby Girl has a great fondness for boxes. They make the best toys.

On the way to bed I was admiring all the laundry I did. Doing laundry in The States is so wonderful.  This is a picture of ONE load of laundry I did yesterday...

In China this would have been two or three loads. We had a very small machine and it was actually larger than some I'd seen.  Also, most people in China don't have a dryer. So all the laundry has to be hung up to dry. Most people hang their laundry out side.

With the humidity of Shanghai laundry takes all day to dry. This one load of laundry would have taken me two days to wash and dry in Shanghai...not to mention the other two loads I did yesterday.
Amazing.
America is so convenient.

Daddy Dear 18/365

Every day when Bonita Rose wakes up from her nap she asks to watch a video. She points at the computer and does the hand sign for "more" and makes her little grunting sign. She so cute it's hard to say no. This is her favorite one. She squeels and dances and get so happy. She's usually asking for "more" before it's even over.

She started playing with them last week and it's the cutest thing.
I look this video right after she started playing with them because I thought it was so cute and I wanted to share the moment with her daddy.
I wasn't going to post it because it's not a great video but then when I was re-watching it today Bonnie was laughing at it.
So I thought if she thought it was funny you might too.

Baby Smiles

Bonnie Rose wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all her fans out there. I know this may seem really boring to alot of people. 2 minutes of a baby making funny faces at a camera. But for those of you we are interested (mainly the grandparents) I wanted to share a little of our "awake time" with you.




Bonnie Rose is very active during her Awake Time. She likes to kick and squeal and wave. It's one of the funnest times of my day. She's also a very happy and smiley baby.

I tired to get her to suck on my thumb so you could see her cute sucking faces... but she didn't want to.
